Unmei Nihongo Tutorial Center derived its name from the Japanese word "unmei" which means "Destiny". The Japanese generally believes that nothing that happens in life is accidental. The concept of destiny dictates that things happen for a greater purpose and when one discover such purpose, everything falls into place as pre-planned. In the same way, UNMEI's business is to be of service to those who are destined to be its clients. The UNMEI concept was borne out of the need of Filipino students for quality yet affordable Nihongo tutorial service that fits to their present way of living. UNMEI was founded by passionate Nihongo students and teacher Who have one thing in common - A deep sense of commitment to uplifting the Filipino's Japanese language proficiency.
Fast-paced modern living makes formal, long-term language learning UNAFFORDABLE in terms of TIME and MONEY. On April 2009, the "UNMEI" concept was borne. The aim is to answer to the need of Filipino students for QUALITY and AFFORDABLE Nihongo tutorial and training services. A PASSION for the Japanese language and a DEEP SENSE OF COMMITMENT to uplifting the Filipinos' Japanese language proficiency resulted in the creation of UNMEI NIHONGO TUTORIAL CENTER.On July 8 the same year we, UNMEI started its first class of 5 students in L.E.A.R.N. Tutorial Center in Maginhawa St. UP Village, Diliman, Quezon City. On September 5, 2009 UNMEI met with the Board of Directors of Solution Quest International Corporation (SQI), a software solutions development and marketing company to discuss possible linkages. On March 8, 2010 UNMEI underwent its first move for expansion and transferred to a bigger place in OMM-CITRA, also in Ortigas. That same month, the JLPT results came out and UNMEI garnered a 100% passing rate for that batch.For the following years, Unmei proved its high standards with a n almost 100% passing rate of its students who took the New JLPT from 2010-2012. On June 2012, Unmei was awarded Top Brands-Diamond Award as the "2012 Nihongo Language and Tutorial Center " by Quality Brands Philippines Committee. On February 27, 2014, UNMEI was awarded as the Best Japanese Language Learning Center in the 2014 Consumers' Choice Awards. The 25th Asia Pacific Excellence Awards awarded UNMEI Nihongo Center last April 27 as the Best Japanese Learning Center for the year 2014.
